Created in October of 2020, the WizNewsletter serves as a way for students and staff to recap on the month's updates. WizNetworkers spend countless hours researching, writing, editing, and implementing each section so that the happenings of the wizarding world do not go unnoticed. SERVER ANNOUNCEMENTS
As the year came to a close, so did the last quarter of the House Cup competition for 2023! With an incredible lead of almost 3,000 points, the Ravens claimed another victory. Make sure to talk to the Francine NPC located just outside of the Great Hall to get transported to the Raven celebrations, and we hope all houses are ready for another great year of competition! Congratulations again to the Ravens, and good luck to everyone who’s aiming for victory at the end of the quarter in March!
It's time again for the regular map rotation! The Build Team released new maps as well as brought back some old favorites for the months of January to March. The Maps rotate every three months to give different ones a chance to shine. Some of the minigames that are included in this rotation are Melting Floor, Flying, and Quabbleball along with a few others! Some of the maps in this rotation are the Monde Occulte Library, Magical Schools, Hogsend, Greek City, and Castelomagia. Have fun exploring the new maps and happy new year!
Introducing the Mythology Store Releases! Embrace the world of ancient mythology with our new items like ruling over the sea with the new Trident of Poseidon, and maybe even grab the new Pet Cerberus to guard you wherever you go! Feel like a God with the Keres Crown which perfectly complements this month's new release feature items new and old! Unleash your inner demigod and explore the wonders of the gods today!
COMMUNITY UPDATES
As the new year comes in, it’s time to welcome our 2023 Arena Champions! Congratulations to Invisibilia for flying their way into first place in the Flying Category, and to aklokin for dominating first in the Dueling Category. Finally, a huge congratulations to jacquas for winning the Overall Category for the 2023 Arena Championship! The top 6 winners of this Tournament were awarded 50 Arena Tokens for their stupendous Wizarding Skills! With many more Championships and Arena Tournaments to look forward to this year, we’re excited to see all future participants!
With the conclusion of a fantastic Winter Waltz event, the top five places of the Snowballing, Sledding, and Wand Spleef minigames were finally announced! Without further ado, let’s congratulate the top winners of each category, starting with Snowballing; congratulations to _Navyy on taking the top spot with 243 points. Moving on to Sledding, make sure to give a big round of applause aklokin on taking victory with 95 points! Last but not least, congratulations to Accelementum on winning with 9 points in Wand Spleef! Make sure to check out the official announcement on the forums for the rest of the top five placements for each category, and thank you to everyone who participated!
The competition is over, and it's time to announce the month's 2v2 Flying, Dueling, and Sledding Tournament winners! Starting off strong, let's congratulate ColaCinema and exazyr on soaring to victory for the Flying category. Make sure to congratulate SmellyLilBro and Buthane on fighting to the top in Dueling! And last but of course not least, congratulations to SmellyLilBro and M_Engel on winning the Sledding tournament.
