Created in October of 2020, the WizNewsletter serves as a way for students and staff to recap on the month's updates. WizNetworkers spend countless hours researching, writing, editing, and implementing each section so that the happenings of the wizarding world do not go unnoticed. Application Updates
The Build applications have closed, but thank you to all of those who applied. Fortunately, the Java Developer and Web Developer applications have opened for those of you who are interested in coding and technology, as well as the 3D Arithmancer applications for those of you who are interested in rendering. Please check out those applications, as well as our other open applications!

SERVER ANNOUNCEMENTSWe would like to extend our congratulations to Erica on her new role as the Head of Community Management! We would also like to congratulate Deniz on his new role as the Head of Technology and Development! We are excited to see what they will bring to their departments as they take on these leadership positions!
A huge congratulations to Emma on becoming the new Head of Build! She has always done so much and has gone above and beyond in her position. Emma will be co-heading the Build department along with RobotWizz! Congrats again, and we hope to see you flourish in your new role! Please also give a big congratulations to Shira (0ceqn) on becoming the new Assistant to Head of Build! She's been working very hard in her role as Lead Architect for over a year and is incredibly kind and hard-working! We can't wait to see what she does in her new position!
The month of August has brought us another spectacular release from the Store Manager Team, which is night-themed! It included items such as the Star Moon Wand, Black Dragon Staff, Starry Wand Effects, new 3D glasses and the brand new Night-themed emote pack.
This August we saw the release of the official Potterworld Arena Discord! From teasers about upcoming Arena content to special notifications about surprise challenges, this new Discord may just be the place for you. You may just even find a new teammate, someone to practice with, or even learn a thing or two you didn’t know before. We are looking forward to seeing you in our discussions!
GAMEPLAY UPDATES
The Game Design team has updated and added some fresh and fun content to Potterworld! There is a new quest, parkour, maze, and there are some new hidden activities too! In addition, Firedust Elves have found new homes in the towns of Edgebrook, Rushstone, and Eldham Ridge. Make sure to keep a lookout for the addition of upcoming content!
COMMUNITY UPDATESAfter so many months of Flying and Dueling Tournaments, it’s time to congratulate our 2021 Season 2 Arena Champions! Congratulations to iSpitLikeALlama on coming in first place for the Overall category, Expiroces for coming in first for Dueling, and Salmandingo for coming in first for Flying! We admire all the hard work you have put in throughout the season!
A big congratulations to everyone who participated in the Summer Visual Arts Competition! We’d like to specially congratulate Prin_ce on getting first, fleurtje0726 on getting second, and RainbowElfe on placing third! Good job everyone, you all did amazing!
During the August Community Engagement Event, the Inquisitorial Squad presented us with a music-themed hangout! There, you were able to learn more about some instruments, while also getting some cool collectibles along the way. A minigame was also presented in where players had to help a music teacher fix broken instruments. We hope everyone enjoyed it, and we can't wait to see you next time!
After another month of exciting tournaments, our champions have revealed themselves! A huge congratulations to our winners of August 2021, iSpitLikeALlama for the Flying Tournament and Nebbbyy for the Dueling Tournament! Keep up the great work; we can't wait to see more of your performances in the future!
