As June begins, we are excited to announce the winner of last month's giveaway, as well as announce this month's new prompt!

In May, we had so many incredible pieces of art submitted that fit the create-your-own constellation prompt! From creatively constructed star charts to out-of-this-world drawings, those in our art community showed their talent once again! And so, without further ado, the May winner is… ForestSpy! They will receive the prize of 150 Potter Points and 100 House Points today.

To reiterate, the Monthly Art Giveaway is a way for players to create any art form (MC build, render, drawing, writing, craft, etc.) while fitting a specific theme. One winner will be randomly picked at the end of the month, and will receive 150 Potter Points and 100 House Points!

This month's prompt is to create something that follows the prompt of celebrating pride month! We can't wait to see your creativity.

Giveaway Guidelines:

Hello everyone!

With the release of the May the Fourth event, we are excited to announce that we will be hosting three individual Star Battle minigame tournaments for the duration of the event.

This tournament will feature our three Star Battle minigames: Escort Payload, Domination and Star Racing.

How Will the Tournaments Work?

Our tournament will involve three separate leaderboards for each gamemode. Players can earn points through winning rounds of Escort Payload and Domination or by racing in Star Racing. Bonus points are also rewarded for kills in Escort Payload and Domination. At the conclusion of the May the Fourth event, the top five players on each leaderboard will win a reward!

You can view your placements for this tournament on the tournaments page or in-game on Batuu near the Millennium Falcon.

The tournaments will run from 12am PST on Thursday, May 4th, 2023, until 12pm PST on Wednesday, May 31, 2023.

What Are the Rewards?

The top five players in each game’s tournament will receive the following rewards:

First Place:

• Temporary Champion prefix
• Temporary PvP Crown hat
• 500 Potter Points
• Toy N-Scope Sniper
• Purple and Gold Wand Particles

Second Place:

• Toy N-Scope Sniper
• 24 Arena Tokens

Third Place:

Celebrating 9 years of Potterworld
9 years ago in May of 2014, Droobledore first released PotterworldMC to players. Since then, our server and community have become so important to so many. We'd like to thank you for sticking around through Potterworld's 9th year of magic.

To commemorate this occasion, decorations and temporarily purchasable rewards have been added to the Great Hall Courtyard! These rewards will be claimable until June 10.

Happy 9th Potterworld anniversary, everyone!

The Store team is excited to reveal a long-awaited feature, namely the ability to alter the lore of your wand! Additionally, we are happy to release our Anniversary Sale today. Let's take a closer look at these together!

Wand Lore

By purchasing a Wand Lore token on our store, you can browse 42 wand wood types and 13 wand cores and decide what fits your wand the best! To change the lore, run the command /wandlore. This will bring up a GUI where you can first select your new wand wood, and then you will pick your new wand core. There is also a brief description of each wood type and wand core to find the best fit! You can preview these descriptions in the in-game store too. Finally, you must confirm your choices. Once this is done, your wand lore will be updated!

Note: This change is purely cosmetic and does not alter the behaviour of your wand.

On May 18th, nine years ago, PotterworldMC was officially released to the public. With nearly 6,000 active players, we can proudly say that we are one of the biggest magic-based servers. From launch to now, a lot has changed over the years. To celebrate Potterworld’s 9th Anniversary, I interviewed three players about their unique experiences!

No matter when the players joined, they all enjoyed their first experiences on the server. “I joined in mid 2015, I was blown away with the magic and lively community in Hogsworth,” Ivan (_Navyy) remarked. “Old Great Hall had music playing and you constantly heard owls and fireworks. Still [do].” “I joined around September 2020, I believe. It was a good early experience, and I fell in love very fast,” Angel (Angel_G08) said.

Whether it be the people, the gameplay, or something else, there is at least one part of the server that anyone can enjoy. “I really like the classes. They are not led by a technological system, but by real human beings that put their heart and soul into making classes fun and entertaining for everyone,” Leyak (LividK) explained in the interview.
