Don't they grow up so fast? It is Potterworld's 8th anniversary! To celebrate this huge milestone, the Store team is happy to announce the Anniversary Release & Sale! The anniversary sale will last from the 18th to 23rd of May at 12 am PST with up to 50% off everything except for the New Releases category. The new items featured in this release are as follows:

• Travel Case Warp Key: Have you ever wanted to flaunt just how much you've travelled the world? With this new Warp Key appearance, you can do that!
• Confetti Wand Effects: Do you have the burning passion to show off your celebration cheer? With these new wand effects, you can express this with its vast amount of colours!

Welcome to the Academics weekly assignment for the week of May 15th, 2022! These weekly assignments will give our Professors the ability to showcase some of their lesson ideas here on the website. Each assignment will be posted for a week, in which everyone will be able to read about the topic and respond to the assignment prompt. Hey! Today the Game Design Team brings you a very exciting gameplay update for magic, combat, and more! Talents are back, and we can’t wait for those of you who weren’t able to play test last month to try out this new update. This post will go over everything that has changed. We hope you guys enjoy!

Why are we bringing back Talents?
We have decided to bring back talents, as a result of a poll in the discord a few months back. In this poll we learned that while players enjoy being able to customize their character, some of our older system designs actually limited our players with the variety of spells they can use. The re-introduction of Talents hopes to keep customizability, without overwhelming and restricting player’s options. Due to this, Spell trees and loadouts have been removed at this time.

What are Talents?
Talents are what make you different from any other witch or wizard, giving you the possibility to improve your spells in a way and combination that suits your combat abilities. There are three different categories of talents: Duelist, Transfigurer, and Mediwizard. These categories have up to 5 tiers of talents you can select from that are geared towards that category's specific combat style.

Duelist: These talents are geared towards witches or wizards who attack their foes more aggressively!
Transfigurer: These talents are geared towards witches or wizards who aim to guard their allies and distract foes!
Mediwizard: These talents are geared towards witches or...

We are excited to announce that the Game Design team is opening Magiventologist applications in search of creative minds to join our team. The Magiventologist Team functions to design and implement all temporary seasonal event content on the server. Members work in collaboration to decide on overall event concepts as well as receive individual writing and implementation assignments.

Magiventologists will be taught and expected to fully learn how to use the Potterworld Technologies to create content for the server. Events are fast paced, demanding, but highly rewarding content to work on. We are looking for those that have passion for game design and willingness to work hard to contribute to our fun events! No previous tech knowledge or game design experience is necessary and we are instead searching for individuals with these very valuable qualities.

Greetings everyone!

We are beyond excited to announce the release of our official Potterworld Wiki! The Scribe team has been hard at work over the past year and a half writing, implementing, and preparing the wiki for the players. The Potterworld Wikipedia contains over 500 pages of content about travel, quests, gameplay, and even events! Additionally, this wiki includes in-depth lore and facts on Potterworld's towns, history, and creatures that can be read. This project has taken a lot of dedication and time, but we are so glad to be able to finally share it with everyone.

The Potterworld Wiki is still constantly being updated with new pages as well as general edits. Any page or wiki suggestions as well as bug reports are welcomed and encouraged! We will also be listing newly implemented content on the Main Page of the wikipedia so players can keep up-to-date on new pages. This has been a long journey, so thank you so much for your patience in waiting for this release!
