The Battle of Grimlotts
Early this morning, Auralocks were alerted to the presence of a struggle that was ongoing in Diagonal Lane. After arriving on the scene, they quickly discovered a horrifying site as Grimlotts was set ablaze. Upon closer inspection, it was revealed that the vaults had been sealed shut. Quickly realizing that Grux was likely behind the attack, Rani Lightwood alerted the other Faction Leaders, who arrived on the scene shortly after. Thanks to their quick wit (and a few clever charms) they were able to pry open the entrance to the vaults, only to discover that Grux had torn up the track, and created several layers of seemingly impenetrable defenses around his apparent target - The Crestello Vault. With the Obscurium, a powerful book of untold evil in his hands, as well as the arcane objects that lie within the Crestello Vault, there's no telling what evils may unfold over the coming weeks. Will you answer the call?

How to Play
Speak to Nathan Nakamori in the Roleplay Hub to travel to the entrance of the Grimlotts Vaults. Upon entering, you'll be tasked with gathering as much raw magic as possible by completing minigames, which can be accessed from the Vaults as well. Every time you complete a minigame, you'll be rewarded with Raw Magic. You will also notice that you have a personal Raw Magic total, as well as a global raw magic total - you will get points for both as you complete minigames. As you all earn raw magic, you will break down the barriers that Grux has created.

Gameplay

Greetings, witches and wizards of the magical world.

As we all know by now, on May 22nd, 2022, Grux attacked Hogsworth. His reasons, though at the time unknown, became clear as the battle raged on. If you want to learn more about what happened, read on.

When the battle began Grux appeared in the Great Hall, where leaders and inner-circle members of all of the factions quickly surrounded him. Before they could incapacitate him, he summoned an impenetrable barrier around himself. He taunted the leaders, politely asking them to move out of the way as he only came for a single item and didn’t wish to cause any more harm than needed. After a reminder of all of the lives he took and the destruction at Longbay Landing, Grux prepared to unleash his full wrath upon Hogsworth. The leaders stood firm and prepared to fight against him. Before they had the chance, however, Grux vanished, forcing those prepared to fight to chase him throughout the castle.

The chase was a perilous one, as Grux, along with his Humunculi, had destroyed much of the castle, in particular the Grand Staircase. Thanks to various contraptions, brave defenders were able to parkour their way up the staircase to the 5th floor, where more of Grux’s Humunculi awaited them. After blasting through a horde of Humunculi, they found their way up a staircase and into the Divination Classroom.

The ghost of Sara Selwyn, the late Dark Mistress, seemed to also be working for Grux in some way. With prior knowledge that Sara Selwyn...

As we start June, we are excited to announce the winner of last month's giveaway, as well as announce this month's new prompt!

In May, we had many fantastic pieces of art submitted that fit the space/"A Galaxy Far Away" theme! From gorgeous drawings to amazing renders, those in our art community showed their talent once again! And so, without further ado, the May winner is… Honey_Dwarf1! They will receive the prize of 150 Potter Points and 100 House Points today.
