The Media department & Daily Diviner Team are excited to announce that we are reopening DD Writer applications! Daily Diviner Writers are those who write articles for the Daily Diviner. They are familiar with the server and its community and bring creativity with their writing!

Applications will stay open until the position is filled! Do take your time when you fill in the application and make sure you are able to meet all the requirements (listed in the beginning) before submitting it. Please contact the Head of Media if you have any questions.

We are happy to announce that we have expanded our current Wand Lore to include more exciting wand woods and cores! Enjoy 10 new wand woods and 9 new cores, on top of our already expansive list of lore to choose from!

We are also excited to announce an update to show off your wand lore even more easily- when you defeat another player, whether in classes, challenges, or outside duelling, players can now hover over the death message to see both your wand name and the lore.

You can now head to our store to purchase a Wand Lore token, and use it to select your chosen wand wood and core. Lore for each possible option can also be seen in the in-game store, so you can pick which wood and core suit you best!

The new wand woods available are the following:

• Afara: Found in western Africa, afara wood is good for those who prefer a calm and peaceful environment. Many wizards who have this wood find they rarely get into conflicts with others.
• Bloodwood: Easily damaged, bloodwood is not commonly used by those with reckless or destructive tendencies. Bloodwood excels in casting charms as its porous qualities allow for magic to flow through the wand easily.
• Lacewood: Looking as if it contains gold, lacewood wands are incredibly popular amongst the wealthy. This wood is adept in multiple forms of magic, making it ideal for someone who wants to be proficient in as much as possible while still having a little flair.
• Macacauba: This colourful wood is popular amongst wizards who are little flamboyant. The magic it produces often gives a little extra, making it the perfect choice for someone who loves charms, or is trying to impress a special someone...

Nature's Call - Part 2
The war has begun, but it is far from over. The Shadow Hunt have spent time healing, but they yet again request your help. Lady Sophane, a high ranking member of the Shadow Hunt, has discovered information that will be crucial in determining this war’s outcome. With the nature of it, however, the Centaurs need an outside force to be a buffer zone.

Nature's Call - Part 1
Word has spread that the Shadow Hunt tribe is under attack from an outside tribe: the Riptide. Additional help is needed, though the Shadow Hunt are wary of any non-Centaur assistance. However, Telocus, one of the higher-ranked members of the tribe, has heard word of a specific human’s good deeds: yours. Perhaps the actions of one person could help change the tides of the war.

We are excited to announce that we are now accepting applications for Engineer Interns in the Game Design department. Engineer Interns are staff members who work on creating and implementing all the spells and mobs that you see on the server.

Engineer Interns are responsible for learning the Magic and MythicMobs plugins on a private server and demonstrating their aptitude for troubleshooting and creativity. The measure of your success will be to show that you can learn, retain, and produce varying levels of magic and mob designs. If you are successful, you will be given the role of Jr. Engineer in which you will earn access to making mobs and magic for the official server.

We will close the applications when we get enough applicants, so don’t hesitate to apply. Please make sure you meet all requirements before applying.

Congratulations to Harrison @Harrison on becoming our newest Assistant to Head of Technology & Development!

As Assistant to Head, Harrison is now responsible for the management of all teams within the Tech & Dev department alongside the current Head of Tech & Dev (Alexis). Together, they are responsible for the technological advances made on the server and the quality of the content released.

Ever since joining the Tech & Dev Leadership team as a Sr. Developer over a year ago, Harrison has been going above and beyond with all that he does. Shortly after, he also became the Grounds Keeper Lead and became an even more essential part of our team. Harrison helped bring the Grounds Keeper team to new heights and has made many important contributions to the Development team, including improving quest creation tools and 1.16 progress. We are excited to see to what new heights he will bring the Tech & Dev department as a whole in his new role, and I am very lucky to work alongside him.
