I can see where you’re coming from, as I do catch myself missing pm’s sometimes. However, I would also like to suggest possibly using colour codes for your pms with friends, that way you’re less likely to miss them. You may discuss amongst your friends and decide which colour code is best...

This is such a creative and wonderful idea. I don’t see how it could have any negative impact. Hopefully we get to see this in-game at some point c:

I do see your point about possibly having to do some maps over and over again, could get boring for some. But I believe if it could be possible to bring it back maybe more people would be interested to play mini games and it would give a chance for more players to come together and communicate...
