Created in October of 2020, the WizNewsletter serves as a way for students and staff to recap on the month's updates. WizNetworkers spend countless hours researching, writing, editing, and implementing each section so that the happenings of the wizarding world do not go unnoticed. Application Updates
At this time, Lore Keeper and Daily Diviner Editor applications have been closed. However, Arena Squire applications have opened back up, so be sure to check those out if you're interested in helping with challenges, tournaments, and any upcoming Arena projects! The Unspeakable applications have been revised, and the level requirement has been lowered to level 71, so check those out as well if you're interested in helping with discussing, designing, and implementing gameplay!

SERVER ANNOUNCEMENTSThe official Potterworld Art Discord has been released! You can share your own works with the community, observe what others have done, or ask for a commission from one of our many artists! Come join and explore what all of our wonderful artists have done so far or post something of your own. We look forward to seeing all of your creative works!
Once again, the Store Manager Team has brought us another batch of store items! This time around, they are summer themed with items like the Sunflower Crown and Kelpie Broom-Appearance. The team also announced a 50% sale on all items except for the new releases, which ended on the 31st of July.
A huge congratulations to Zach on becoming the new Head of Academics! Ever since Zach joined the staff team in 2019, then the leadership team in 2020, he has given the community so much with his effort and gratitude. We cannot wait to see what more he has in store for us with his new position! Congratulations again Zach, for everything you’ve done for Academics!
GAMEPLAY UPDATES
Have fun in the sun with our very first Summer Event! You can expect new side quests along with summer-themed minigames when entering the event. There have also been a few new beach-themed maps added in /games! Some of the available rewards include a Sand Bucket handbag, a Fishbowl Plushie, and many more! You can see the NPC in front of the Great Hall to visit the breezy beach! The last day for the event is the 7th of August, so be sure to check it out while it’s hot!
After almost two and a half years we were super happy to finally announce the release of our newest permanent minigame: Party Games! In the game, you will play and compete in six random game modes out of thirteen. Each round boasts a first, second, and third place winner, awarding points to each. At the end of the six rounds whoever has the most points wins! This game is replacing spell wars and is super exciting & fast-paced. We are excited for you to play it!
COMMUNITY UPDATESOur summer-themed Visual Arts Competition has been released and we’ve received some great pieces! Participants were asked to submit an original piece of work - a traditional piece, digital piece, or render - showcasing a summer day at the beach. Everyone who participated was given house points. The top three winners have received additional house points, along with Potter Points! Submissions opened on the 18th of July, and closed on the 1st of August. Winners will be announced on August 7th at the latest!
The Inquisitorial Squad took everyone camping with their Camp-themed Community Engagements this month! Chillin' at the Campsite held a wide variety of activities like a scavenger hunt, a maze, some parkour, as well as some collectible shopping once the fun was over with. This month also held a "Who Dunnit?", in which the participants had to solve the case of the missing camp counselor. As July's Community Engagements come to an end, we hope everyone had a fantastic time and encourage everyone to try to attend one in the future.
Congrats to everyone who took part in the July Flying and Dueling tournaments! We would especially like to extend congratulations to Maxwheell, Tangular123, Kryiinq, DemetriDemarcus, and Tilllyy on getting 1st in this month's 5v5 Dueling Tournament! We would also like to congratulate Tilllyy, ISpitLikeALlama, MagmaC4, DemetriDemarcus, and Maxwheell for their 1st place victory in this month's 5v5 Flying Tournament! Good luck to everyone entering the August tournaments!
