Hello, everyone!

We are excited to announce a competition which we have not hosted in a very long time. To celebrate the server upgrade and the server now being based in 1.18, we are hosting a video competition!

We encourage all players to make and post any videos they would like of Potterworld- whether it's their most recent quest runthrough, their favourite build, duel, flying map, skin they've made, throwback screenshots, or any other of their favourite parts of the server. We're lucky enough to be having a large server upgrade, so let's celebrate it!

Our biggest news for this competition is that... Replay Mod can be used for use of this competition on our server! We have decided that with such a big milestone, replaymod can be utilised as part of this competition. However, ReplayMod is not permitted in any maze gameplay, and the mod is still blacklisted in these locations.

Any videos made can then be posted to a social media of choice, tagging the PotterworldMC account, to be entered into the competition.

After December 7th, winners will be picked based on views and random entry. Cross-platform posting is permitted, but will only count as one entry for the random draw portion of this competition.

Conditions:
- Eligible platforms include Twitter, Instagram, Tiktok, YouTube, and YouTube Shorts.
- All videos should tag the @PotterworldMC account on the respective platform to be considered eligible.
- Videos must be posted before 11:59pm PST December 7th
- Cross-platform posting is permitted, but will only count as one entry for the random draw portion of this competition.

Welcome to 1.18 and 1.21!

After over 4 years of work, and jumping 8 Minecraft versions, we are extremely excited to open the doors to 1.18 and 1.21. We are grateful for a relatively smooth maintenance period which has allowed us to ensure that players can rejoin the server as soon as possible!

At this present point in time we have re-opened our worlds, complete with the new levelling experience that will be detailed below. Our regular class schedule will also resume, beginning with Magical Cuisine at 1:00PM PST (in 12 hours)!

We are currently working with the Build team to finalise our minigame builds, before we can re-enable minigames. We hope to have these both back up by the end of the week, assuming all goes well. Unfortunately Housing is still not available as we are still backing all the plots up. We want to ensure that we have a backup of all Housing plots before we begin migrating their world files to 1.18 as we know how much history and how important these are!

How to Connect

You can now join Potterworld on our same IP, play.potterworldmc.com, on any of the following four versions: 1.18.2, 1.21.8, 1.21.9, or 1.21.10.

The base version of our server is currently 1.18.2, so only features available on this version are accessible to players. However this does include an increased build height, the ability to swim, longer chat message lengths, and many many many new blocks for players and staff to build with, in addition to the numerous features added both in Minecraft and our external plugins.

It is our aim to continue to allow support to join on the latest version, so far as it is reasonably achievable.

The Academics Department is proud to announce a Halloween-themed 12 Hours of Classes event scheduled for next Saturday, October 25th from 6am to 5pm (in PST). We'd like to invite you all to join us as we have twelve classes back-to-back at the start of each hour! Check out the schedule below, and we hope to see you there!

Additionally, students who attend at least six out of the twelve available classes will be able to claim a special reward in the class lobby!
