The Department of Academics have decided to host a surprise 24h Class Event this Sunday, March 22nd!
This means that for the whole day (In the Pacific timezone, PDT) there will be a class running each hour!
The full schedule is seen here below.
*Please note that we will be overlooking the usual class schedule during this day.

Hello everyone!

I’m very excited to introduce a very new competition - the ‘Housing Awards’. It’s our new spin on our classic ‘Housing [Theme] Competition’ that we used to do in the past. This time around, instead of setting a theme dictating your build and thus the entries - we will set no theme at all! Instead we will run this competition like an award show, with nominations and their own rewards. We need you, the community to enter and encourage others to enter to make this a very fun and new kind of event.

Stage 1: Entries

Our first stage is the entry stage! Like I mentioned earlier, anyone with a housing on Potterworld can enter. But make sure to read and meet the requirements first;

• Anyone can submit an entry; including staff and non-staff positions.
• The one who is entering must be the owner of the housing plot, but may add people to make it a ‘group entry’. (i.e if I want to submit /housing RobotWizz, RobotWizz needs to submit the entry)
• The Housing Awards is a showcase of your housing; you don’t need to be the person who built it from scratch… as long as you add your own personal touch!
• You may credit the person who helped build your house; even if they’re not around anymore.

We will accept entries for around two weeks, closing on the 29th of March. Click here to submit your entry! Entries have closed

Remember that the main idea is that a large portion of your house has already been built, but of course you can finish it off while entries are open!

Make sure you have a gmail account to be able to access the google form.

We're excited to announce that we are now accepting Unspeakable applications from players!

Unspeakable has been a staff-only application position since it was introduced in August of last year. They work on quests, events, professions and more! Right now our main focus is the Revelius Update, so if you're interested in contributing, apply here!

Applications will remain open for the forseeable future, and if you have any questions feel free to contact me (hullo?#8498) or the Chief Unspeakable (Autumn#2106) on Discord. We're looking forward to seeing your applications!

Celebrate House Pride this year by engaging in an all-house competition! Travel to the courtyard and earn Pride Points for your house by completing various daily activities and finding hidden chests around the world. Earn Event Tokens by completing these daily activities and competing against other players in Minigames found in /games! The house that triumphs above all will earn 1000 house points, with second earning 500, and third earning 250.

We're also excited to announce that Serpent and Honeybadger have new Head of Houses! Serpents will now be led by DenizTM, while Honeybadgers are being led by KieranTM!

In addition to the House Pride event, there is a store sale for all house and school related items! Check them out on the store!

Rewards
Each house has its own set of rewards, and you may only purchase the rewards for your house. The rewards are as follows:
- 1 Scarf to display your House Pride
- 2 Special House Pride emotes (previously only available to Staff Members).
- 2 Unique decorative heads
- 1 House Pride banner

Hello everyone!

Some changes have arrived to the Arithmancer applications, including a new role!

What has happened to the old Arithmancer application?
In the past, 2D and 3D Arithmancer used to be in the same application. This made us unable to properly close 3D Arithmancer while 2D was still open. This was also at times confusing for applicants.
We have now split the Arithmancer application into two separate apps, one for 2D and 3D. With this split, we are now able to control the apps better and we have been able to add examples to each application. These examples make it clear what style and type of work we are looking for.

What is a Skin Arithmancer?
A Skin Arithmancer is a staff position that makes skins for the server. These skins are used for events, Potterwatch videos, renders, and much more! This role existed in the past few months already as a staff only application, but has now been made public.
We know that there are many talented skin creators within the community, and we would love to have some of you join the team. So if you enjoy creating skins and you want to contribute to the server, this position might be for you.
The application will remain open until we have been able to fill all positions.

So which Arithmancer applications are currently open?
At this point in time, both 2D and Skin Arithmancer applications are open.
We are looking forward to seeing new people join the Media team!

Hello everyone!

Last month we released the Content Creator rank. In the post, we mentioned that the requirements would change from time to time. To prevent many announcements about requirements changes, we have decided to pick a specific time frame. If in a month requirements do change, these changes will always happen in the first week of the month.

Content creators will always be directly informed of any changes if relevant to them. For the others, simply check out the requirements on the application. It is possible that there will be months without any changes. This month however, we have lowered the subscriber/follower minimum to 2000.

The application has been updated to reflect these changes. Any future requirement changes will thus no longer be announced. Keep an eye on the application for any changes.

Greetings everyone! We bring you some exciting news!

It has always been a goal of ours to connect with our community, be transparent with them and ensure that our players feel heard. It’s an area that we can always better ourselves in, and today, we attempt to do so by adding an entirely new department to the server.

This department will be known as Community Management. Its main goal is to improve how we interact with the playerbase (you guys!), and listen to their input. This department will ensure that players remain happy, and always have somewhere to go to for concerns and new ideas for the server. It’ll start off with two ranks:

Poltergeists:
This is a staff rank and anyone can apply for it (and you should if you meet the requirements hehe).

Responsibilities as a Poltergeist will include the following:

• Playing through new gameplay (events, quests, etc.) before it is released to give feedback.
• Constantly keep an open mind to find new ways to improve the server.
• Create and send feedback forms for the Discord server, so we can consistently measure how well we are satisfying the playerbase.
• Listen to other players and respond to their ideas. If you believe the idea is good, notify the team.

And more. This means that your primary responsibility as a Poltergeist is simply to leave feedback on the server and help us find new ways to improve the server on a constant basis.
