As January and a brand new year begins, we are excited to announce the winner of last month's giveaway, as well as announce this month's new prompt!

In December, we had so many incredible pieces of art submitted that fit the theme of winter wonderland. From beautiful and wintery art pieces to wonderful photography, those in our art community showcased their talents once again! And so, without further ado, the December winner is… chainmetoacactus! They will receive the prize of 150 Potter Points and 100 House Points today.

Now onto the January giveaway & theme!

To reiterate, the Monthly Art Giveaway is a way for players to create any art form (MC build, render, drawing, writing, craft, etc.) while fitting a specific theme. One winner will be randomly picked at the end of the month, and will receive 150 Potter Points and 100 House Points!

This month's prompt is to create something that expresses a goal for the new year! This can be anything from something you'd like to do for yourself, or something you'd like to see done on Potterworld this year.

We are excited to announce the release of this month's hidden coupon! Taking inspiration from past gameplay, we are releasing one hidden gift card/coupon around our world today. This month we have integrated a large amount of feedback to make the hunt even more exciting!

This gift card can only be obtained by one lucky player and is hidden well. It is truly difficult but rewarding to find!

Each gift card can only be obtained once and will give the player who finds it $5.00 to spend for free on our store! Owned coupons can be checked in /me and are valid for 6 months from release. These can be used to purchase items from our store and also lower the price you have to pay for items.

We are thrilled to announce that the December 2023 hidden coupon has been found! Thank you to everyone who put their effort and time into searching for it. We hope that the puzzles in this month's coupon hunt were enjoyable.

While the coupon is now found, you can still search for it using our store hint to if you want a challenge! The hints are removed once the next hidden coupon is released, but you can still encounter the puzzle on the server.

The Academics team is proud to announce a 24 Hours of Classes event scheduled for this upcoming Saturday, December 16th (in PST). Hello everyone!

We’re excited to announce that our winter minigame tournaments will be making a return again this year during the Winter Waltz.

This tournament will feature our three winter-inspired minigames: Sledding, Wand Spleef and Snowballing.

Our tournament will involve three separate leaderboards for each gamemode. Players can earn points through being the last one standing in Wand Spleef, knocking out players in Snowballing or by winning races in Sledding.

Unlike last year however, the tournaments will be staggered, with a different game’s tournament unfolding every week. Each tournament will begin on Saturday at 12am PST and end on the following Friday at 11:59pm.

The tournaments will commence from the second week of the event and follow the below schedule:

• Saturday December 9th - Friday December 15th: Wand Spleef
• Saturday December 16th - Friday December 22nd: Sledding
• Saturday December 23rd - Friday December 29th: Snowballing

All rewards will be handed after the conclusion of the Winter Waltz event.

You can view your placements for this tournament on the tournaments page or in-game in the École du Monde Occulte Museum.

Furthermore, at the commencement of each tournament, a final mystery map will be revealed which is exclusive for that week! This post will be updated when each map is released.
