As we start October, we are excited to announce the winner of last month's giveaway!

In September, we had many fantastic pieces of art submitted that fit the event-based carnival prompt! From colorful pieces to whimsical narratives, those in our art community showed their talent once again! And so, without further ado, the September winner is… iLikeThisName_! They will receive the prize of 150 Potter Points and 100 House Points today.

Welcome to the Academics weekly assignment for the week of September 25th, 2022! These weekly assignments will give our Professors the ability to showcase some of their lesson ideas here on the website. Each assignment will be posted for a week, in which everyone will be able to read about the topic and respond to the assignment prompt. This week's assignment is "Wizarding Fashion - Hair Chalk" created by Lyra (myriadofanger).

We are pleased to announce that Reputation is now live! Reputation is a system that allows you to increase your "reputation" with towns across the map by completing simple tasks for its residents. As your reputation grows, you will gain access to more rewards and benefits. This release is broken into two phases and this is Phase Two. To begin, head over to any of the towns listed below!

Gameplay
In each town, you will find 6 residents that need your help, each requiring different skill. The 6 skills include Cooking, DADA, Divination, Herbology, Potions, and Transfiguration. Cooking tasks require you to collect ingredients and cook something delicious. DADA tasks require you to face a creature lurking somewhere in the world. Divination tasks require you to seek out a missing person that is nowhere to be found. Herbology tasks require you to venture out into the wilderness to pick various plants. Potions tasks require you to collect ingredients and brew up something useful. Transfiguration tasks require you to make something new and magical with your bare hands.

Rewards
Each task awards 10 reputation for that town. Your reputation can be viewed at the "Bulletin Board" for that town, which is generally located at the center of the town.
The Bulletin Board is also where the town residents have posted their help notices. Here, you can view all the tasks available in that town, as well as their starting location and required skill. The rewards are also located in this Bulletin Board.

DEPARTMENT & APPLICATIONS

The Game Design department is excited to announce that we are opening Jr. Game Designer applications! Jr. Game Designers are Staff members devoted to and responsible for discussing, designing, and implementing content on the server. This includes both permanent world content and events.

Applications will remain open for the time being until a sufficient number of positions are filled. Remember to take your time when filling in the application and make sure you are able to meet all the requirements (listed in the beginning) before submitting your application.
