Welcome to the Academics weekly assignment for the week of October 16th, 2022! These weekly assignments will give our Professors the ability to showcase some of their lesson ideas here on the website. Each assignment will be posted for a week, in which everyone will be able to read about the topic and respond to the assignment prompt. This week's assignment is "Astronomy - Micrometeorites" created by Toad (ElizabethTheToad).

The Media department & Daily Diviner Team are excited to announce that we are reopening DD Editor applications! Daily Diviner Editors are those who edit all articles for the Daily Diviner before they are published. They are knowledgeable about different types of writing and are skilled in grammar. They check articles for quality, consistency, and accuracy.

Applications will stay open until the position is filled! Do take your time when you fill in the application and make sure you are able to meet all the requirements (listed in the beginning) before submitting it. Please contact the Head of Media or Daily Diviner Lead if you have any questions.

The midst of October is upon us, and alongside the spooky activities of the season, the Store team has released new items to players. The Eerie Store Releases that just recently revealed...

As Season 3 comes to a close, it's time for our Arena 2022 Season 4 Release! The release will be titled the "Arena Expansion Update" and includes lots of improvements to the already existing Arena systems we have to offer!

Arena Dueling Halls: We have updated the Dueling Halls to include many new features! Here are some of the changes we've made:

- Changed the overall build, and added a new dueling Arena within the new halls!
- NEW - Added Tournament NPCs to showcase our monthly winners!
- NEW - Added a room for the Arena Token Shop
- NEW - Added Season Winner NPCs to showcase our season winners!
- NEW - Arena Museum: Added a brand new room for players to explore our different games and to learn more about the Arena Team!
- NEW - Room of Training: Test out your skills against target dummies to learn more about spell interactions and damage! There are 2 rooms to test in, one against dummies and one against your friends in a real Arena!
- NEW - Target Practice Room: Feeling a bit rusty? Head over to the Target Practice Room within the Training Area to test out your aim in a short but exciting challenge!
- NEW - Champion & Arena Recruiters: Talk to the recruiters to learn more about the Arena Team and about becoming an Arena...

Over the past 3 months, many witches and wizards have been competing in Dueling and Flying Challenges with the goal of becoming the top wizard at Hogsworth! We'd like to congratulate SamuelTM, Enzologies, and LittleI for becoming our 2022 Season 3 Arena Champions!

Welcome to the Halloween edition of the Daily Diviner, dear mortals! With Halloween just around the corner, I assume that you want to visit Ashland, Oregon, right? I’m not sure why. Nothing in this area would be interesting enough… except...

You probably think this world is a dream come true, but you're wrong...

Take a drive to Ashland, Oregon to visit the Pynk Manor Apartments with your trusty friend Kevin. There’s something peculiar happening within the walls of the Manor. Meet the various residents to discover what makes the place so… haunting. Perhaps it has something to do with the ominous little door that no one dares to venture into… What could be behind it?

Speak to Kevin at the Great Hall to take a drive to Ashland, Oregon.

Quests & Activites
In your Quest Journal, you will see a new icon for the Halloween Event. This will be accessible throughout the entire event and will be disabled after the event ends. Upon completing quests, you will be rewarded Boo Bucks! There are four main quests as well as two side quests that can be completed once every 12 hours.

In addition to the quests, there is also an exclusive activity to enjoy! A wicked witch is causing mayhem in the Other World, but she’s disguised herself as a friendly face to try to trick you. Apparently, she has a thing for games, and she wants you to be her contestant. It’s a finding-things game. This witch is up to no good, and you must play her game to defeat her once and for all.
