Created in October of 2020, the WizNewsletter serves as a way for students and staff to recap on the month's updates. Social Media Publishers spend countless hours researching, writing, editing, and implementing each section so that the happenings of the wizarding world do not go unnoticed. Let’s get into the news from the past month!

Potterwatch Performer Applications
We are so excited to announce that Performer Applications are opening!
Performer is a non-staff position that involves working with the Potterwatch Directors to create content for the YouTube channel. They'll have the opportunity to participate in videos and streams, as well as leave feedback on all of the upcoming Potterwatch content.
This application will remain open for one month and will close on January 26th @ 12pm PST. Do take your time when you fill in the application and make sure you are able to meet all the requirements (listed in the beginning) before submitting it. Please contact the Head of Media if you have any questions.

Winter Holiday Releases
Greetings, witches and wizards!
We are very excited to release some of our most unique store items in a very long time! This is our present to you all, for whichever holiday you celebrate!
The items available for purchase are:
- Storm Petral Mount (Broom Appearance)
- Hippogriff Mount (Broom Appearance)
- Grinch Pet
- Snow Wand Effects
- The Mischievous Map (Warp Key Appearance)
Four of the five items here will be available all-year long, and the remaining one item (the grinch pet) will be available until January 21st. All items will be found in the 'Event Items' category of the store.
We hope you all enjoy these items!

Grounds Keeper Applications
For the first time ever, we are opening the Grounds Keeper applications to the public. We are very excited to welcome new Grounds Keepers onto the Tech & Dev team and we are very excited to see your applications. Applications will remain open until the 10th of January, 12pm PST. See below for more information on the role, the requirement, where to apply, and some new information about other applications from the Tech & Dev department.
The role and requirements
Grounds Keepers are the bug testers of the server. They are responsible for testing and logging reported bugs, and are also tasked with testing new gameplay content. Grounds Keeper applicants must be at least 16 years old and level 70 or above on the server. Furthermore, they must have access to Discord and own a personal Gmail account.

For more information and the application, just check out the application here. Please keep in mind that we will not be answering any application until after the 1st of January as most of the team will be on a holiday break.
Other applications
We are sure some of you might also be interested in becoming a developer. We are happy to announce we will be opening this application to the public some time in the future, but we most also unfortunately add to that it will still take a while. To make the developer application ready for the public, a lot must be done in terms of restructuring the department. We aim to release more information by the end of quarter 1 of 2021.

Winter Waltz 2020
The annual Winter Waltz is upon us, and this year we will be meeting some new friends! Headmistress Yamamoto has invited the Hogsworth students to celebrate the holiday festivities at Mahounoshiro School of Magic in Japan! Speak to the Headmistress just outside of the Great Hall to ride a Giant Storm Petrel to the event. Meet the school’s professors and students as you explore the stunning Japanese Castle.
Uniforms
If you would fit in amongst the other students at Mahounoshiro, you can get your own uniform for yourself with one of our downloadable bases for feminine & masculine presenting students! We’re excited to see you coordinate with the Mahounoshiro students at this year's Winter Waltz!
Quests
In your questbook, you will see a new icon for the Winter Waltz Event. This will be accessible throughout the entire event, and will be disabled after the event ends. Upon completing quests, you will be rewarded Snowflakes! All of the quests are at Mahounoshiro.
Repeatable Gameplay
You can complete 3 Daily Activities to earn Snowflakes. There is a Daily Quabbleball Practice, Daily Stocking Stuffer Task, and a Daily Snowman Building Activity.
You can also earn Snowflakes by completing any of the seven mini-games, including a new Storm Petrel Elytra Course and a revamped Cherry Blossom Ice River. Snowballing, Sledding, and Wand Spleef have returned to /games for the duration of the event and playing them will reward Snowflakes.
Rewards
You can purchase a bunch of rewards with Snowflakes just outside of Mahounoshiro’s Great...
