Welcome to the Academics weekly assignment for the week of April 3rd, 2022! These weekly assignments will give our Professors the ability to showcase some of their lesson ideas here on the website. Each assignment will be posted for a week, in which everyone will be able to read about the topic and respond to the assignment prompt. Hello everyone!

We are very excited to announce that the Builder Applications have opened! They are scheduled to remain open until June 1st further notice. If you're interested in becoming a Builder, we'd advise applying as soon as you can!

Note:

- You do not have to be the best Builder in the world to apply, everyone has their own strengths and we will fully support you with your journey as a Builder. All you need is the right mindset and dedication.
- Make sure to read all of the requirements and to check if you meet all of them before applying

A Curse Reignited
With Grux finally being revealed as the mastermind behind everything, the Dark Followers have finally revealed themselves and their new base, preparing their defenses to strike back against Grux for his various crimes against the Dark Followers. Explore the new base, discover secrets, and prepare yourself for what may come next...

How to Play
To participate in the event, head over to the Great Hall and approach the professor's dining table. Click on the Roleplay Hub NPC and travel to the Hub. There you will see Noah Pendragon on a black platform awaiting your arrival. Speak to him to travel to the Dark Follower Base.

Gameplay
- Venture deep into the forest and discover the secrets of the new Dark Follower Base, including the grounds, complete with watchtowers, as well as the haunting halls that make up the three floors of the Dark Follower base.

- The Dark Followers have finally moved in, and many of them may need your help to assist them with various tasks, including Noah Pendragon and Henry Chimera. 4 new quests await those brave enough.

- Around the base, you may find NPCs and purple sparkly blocks which you may click on. Find all the NPCs and Interactions and you shall be rewarded with a unique reward! You may also discover a number of hidden activities and secret areas. Good luck and have fun!

The Systems team brings you exciting news today!

Firstly, we have been carefully designing a new system for PVP & PVE combat. We have decided to bring back talents, with some modifications! Spell trees and loadouts as a result will be removed, and we will be moving forward with the results of the poll which was posted in the discord a few months back. The result is going back to the Talents System!

What are Talents?
Talents are what make you different than any other witch or wizard, giving you the possibility to improve your spells in a way and combination that suits your combat abilities. There are three different categories of talents: Duelist, Transfigurer, and Mediwizard. These categories have up to 5 tiers of talents you can select from that are geared towards that category's specific combat style.

Duelist: These talents are geared towards witches or wizards who attack their foes more aggressively!
Transfigurer: These talents are geared towards witches or wizards who aim to guard their allies and distract foes!
Mediwizard: These talents are geared towards witches or wizards who want to heal and protect their allies during fights!

Secondly, we have spent time carefully adjusting some spells and their functionality, but those changes will be finalized once testing is over! Before we have a full release, we would like to offer you the chance to test out these Talents in various...
