New Hub
Greetings everyone!
We have completely redesigned our hub, it is now much simpler, contains some cool images, and overall more friendly for all players. We want to take the time to explain the reasoning behind this!
Looking at the data, we noticed that a great deal of players actually don’t completely understand the concept of a hub. They walk around, and get lost, and don’t understand the item in the middle, despite the messages. Some players clicked on the house points NPCs, expecting something but got confused. Others played minigames, lost because they don’t fully understand it, left and never came back.
Most of our players walked around the hub to explore once, and then that was that. This huge world only became a one time thing that players noticed. Decorating it for seasonal things, like Winter, Halloween, etc. became a huge time consuming task.
This new hub has a space dedicated for the logo of the server, seasonal store advertisements, and a map of the world behind from where you spawn. It only contains one NPC, and that’s it.
We completely understand if you find this new hub a bit less cool, but it was designed to be a simple area that would act as a gateway. We will look into adding a parkour (or maybe enabling the old one) if we ever maintenance again for a long period.

December 2020 Community Engagement
The Inquisitorial Squad would like to invite you all to our Community Engagement events for the month of December! There will be two opportunities to participate: December 12th at 8pm PST and December 26th at 8am PST. This will take place in the Courtyard voice channel on Discord and in-game.

Halloween Writing Competition Winners
A huge thank you to all who entered their spooky stories! We had received so many spooky stories for this year's Halloween Writing Competition. All of them were incredibly well written and it took us quite some time to decide on our winners. Since they were all well done, we've decided to award all who entered 200 Potter Points!

An Explosive Investigation
In the early hours of November 20th, Aurorlock officials were alerted to an explosion in Diagonal Lane. Upon arriving at the scene, and identifying the building as The Lorekeeper’s Compendium, the Aurorlocks hid the crime scene away from the public eye, until they could contain the flames. Now, the Aurorlocks are opening up the crime scene to select individuals. You can read more about the incident in the Daily Diviner article.
How to Play
To begin your investigation, head over to the Great Hall and approach the teacher's dining table. Click on the Roleplay Hub NPC and travel to the Hub. There you will see an Aurorlock Official stationed on the black platform. Speak to them to begin an intro quest. Completion of the quest will allow you to enter the Lorekeeper’s Compendium and explore the destroyed building. You’ll be able to find a few NPCs, several interactions (marked with purple particles), and a few secrets as well!
Gameplay
Travel around the Lorekeeper’s Compendium, finding as many interactions and secrets that you are able to discover. Your number of interactions will be noted any time you find a new one, and you can speak to the Aurorlock Official inside of the Lorekeeper’s Compendium to see your progress on the event.
The event will last until December 11th, so you’ll have plenty of time to discover whatever secrets may lie within the Compendium.

Builder applications have just been opened and we're very excited to bring new Builders onto the team.
Applications will remain open till January 31st, but we'd strongly advise applying as soon as you can!

Note:
- If you have been a Builder previously and want to rejoin the team, message us (Discord: RobotWizz#0019 // PotatoEmma#0137 or here on the forums) to receive the reinstatement application per the reinstatement protocol.
- You do not have to be the best Builder in the world to apply, everyone has their own strengths and we will fully support you with your journey as a Builder. All you need is the right mindset and dedication.
- The 'You must have a clean record' to apply rule has been removed - so apply if you can!
- If you know someone who would be fit for Builder, feel free to encourage them to apply. We'd appreciate every help we can get to expand the Build Team and produce many more builds for you to explore and enjoy.
- Make sure you meet all the requirements before applying.
